Dear Southern California Tri Delta Sisters,

Many of your Tri Delta sisters just returned from Tri Delta's National Convention in Chicago.  I think that I can speak for everyone to tell you that it was a fabulous event!  We had a great time visiting with each other, meeting Tri Deltas from all over the country and Canada, seeing a little of the great city of Chicago, attending informative meetings and workshops, listening to some truly inspiring speakers, and just renewing our love for and loyalty to Tri Delta.

Tri Delta's new Executive Board was installed - President Jackye Clark and Directors June Hilton (from our own Foothills chapter), LuAnne Riegel, Melissa Hall, and Linda McLinden.

In addition to having June serve on the Executive Board, southern California's own Sandra Young (LA Westside) is the new president of Tri Delta's Foundation.

The evening of the final banquet, we presented June and Sandra with corsages and congratulations on behalf of all southern California Tri Deltas.

The proposed Bylaw amendments all passed with the exception of one:  Tri Delta's Executive Director will continue to be a Tri Delta.

Many awards were presented at Convention.  Congratulations to the following southern California award recipients.

LMU - Outstanding Foundation Fundraising

LA Westside Alumnae Chapter - Alumnae Member Experience

Cal Poly - House of the Year

San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter - Alumnae Lifetime Membership

UCI, CSULB, CSUN, LMU, Pepperdine, and USC - Outstanding Membership Recruitment

CSUN - Outstanding Financial Responsibility

UCLA, Pepperdine, USC - Outstanding Academic Achievement

Christie Krieg - Honorable Mention - Ernestine Block Grigsby Award

50 year alumnae chapters - Eastern Orange County, Santa Barbara, Ventura

Desert Area Alumnae Chapter - Crescent Award

Wishing everyone a wonderful summer and hoping to see everyone at our Southern California Alumnae Council meeting in the fall.

Delta love and mine,
Christie Krieg
